Dancing Robot
I had a lot of fun with this one. I am a big fan of daft punk and so when I was allowed to choose my final graphics programming assignment I opted to make a automated dancing robot. You can set the robots body sections to numerous combinations of gyrations and rotations by pressing various keys. The daft punk song "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" plays in the background as well.
This project is built on a very well defined animation heirarchy:
- Based on Forward Kinematics
- Head: Affects itself only
- Forearms: Affect only themselves
- Upper Arms: Affects the forearms
- Torso: Affects Entire Body
- Legs: Affect the torso
